Synopsis

Built on Green Day's landmark album, American Idiot follows three disaffected suburban friends — Johnny, Will, and Tunny — chasing escape in a post-9/11 America: one into the big city and the seductive alter ego St. Jimmy, one into the army, one stuck at home. A sung-through punk-rock opera of rage, love, and coming home. "The emotional charge the show generates is as memorable as the music" (The New York Times).
