Synopsis

Every night, a brand-new musical. It's opening night for Showstopper Productions latest hit, but the red carpet is out, the curtain about to rise, and they still don't have a show! In a pinch, at each performance, the audience supplies the creative ingredients — a setting, a handful of musical styles, a title — and the geniuses at Showstopper Productions transform them, on the spot, into a complete new musical comedy: story, characters, songs, harmonies, and choreography, all conjured afresh before your eyes. No two performances are ever the same, and every single show is a world premiere. More than 1,400 original musicals have been created — and lost forever — since 2008.

An Edinburgh Fringe institution and winner of the 2016 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and Family, Showstopper! is now in its fourth record-breaking year of residency at the West End's Cambridge Theatre, alongside an annual Fringe run and a UK tour. "So polished, it defies belief" (★★★★★, Daily Telegraph). "If this is what improv can do, you wonder why anyone bothers writing anything down" (The Times).

Showstopper! is now on its way to Broadway, where each night is poised to be a Broadway spectacular opening night, red carpet and all!
